Notre and Air Force fans gather in the 'House that Rockne Built'

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- It was a busy afternoon in South Bend on Saturday, as the Fighting Irish and Falcons fans from across North America converged on Notre Dame Stadium!

Both teams arrived within minutes of each other because of an accident near the Toll Road.

Fans cheered on the players as they walked into the Knute Rockne gate.

Many of them say that being an Irish fan is a family affair that started when they were little.

"Since I was born! My uncle Peter bred me as a Notre Dame fan.  He's got a huge shrine in his basement and Notre Dame is all I've known since I was a kid," said Daniel Cardillo, a fan from Ontario, Canada.

For a lot of fans, it was all about the Fighting Irish!

They told us they just wouldn't consider rooting for anyone else.
