Notre Dame celebrates 170th anniversary

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Monday, Notre Dame is celebrating more than just a birth to the National Championship.

The university is 170 years old.

Father Edward Sorin established the school on Nov. 26 1842.

Monday Congressman Joe Donnelly talked about the anniversary on Capitol Hill. He said, "Notre Dame makes our nation stronger and deserves our deepest appreciation."
