LOS ANGELES –- Monday evening, Notre Dame Basketball player Arike Ogunbowale will hit a different kind of hardwood. This one is a dance floor as the 2018 season of Dancing with the Stars kicks off.
People all over the country are rooting for her, as if they weren’t already.
We’re talking from Michiana, to the Notre Dame community, to her hometown of Milwaukee and L.A.
People are proud of a Fighting Irish making their mark on the Golden Coast.
Randall Eng has been out of college for a few years but he’s still proud of his Irish past.
As a part of the Notre Dame Club of Los Angeles, he is making sure that those who bleed blue and gold are well taken care of and well acknowledged for any exciting news.
“Given this opportunity of Arike being in town and on the show it’s just were going to take advantage of it and make sure people are aware of what Notre Dame is and who Notre Dame is,” said Eng.
The ND Club is even holding a ticket raffle to possibly see her dance if she makes it to Week Two.
