Notre Dame defeats No.4 Duke highlights

The Notre Dame men's basketball team defeated Duke 77 to 73 in a nail-biter on Wednesday night at Purcell Pavilion.

The game was sold out and students waited over an hour outside for good seats in the student section.

David Lennon said, “It's Duke. We hate Duke. Let's go Irish!”

Senior Pat Connaughton scored the first two pointer and the student section erupted.

Duke lead 39 to 36 at half time.

With about 5 minutes left in the 2nd half, Notre Dame closed a 10 point lead to tie it up.

Star guard Jahlil Okafur was fouled with under 3 minutes left and missed both shots making the score 70 to 69.

Notre Dame takes on Pittsburgh on Saturday and Duke plays Virginia on the road.
