SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame women's basketball season has come to end after a 70-52 loss to UConn in the Elite Eight on Sunday at the Dickies Arena. 

This was Notre Dame's first trip to the Elite Eight since 2019. 

Notre Dame played seven players, getting just seven points from its bench.

Hannah Hidalgo finished with a double-double, scoring 22 points to go with 11 rebounds. She also had three assists, and three steals.

Vanessa de Jesus added eight points for Notre Dame while Iayana Moore and KK Bransford each scored seven.

This loss sends the Huskies to their 25th Final Four.
