Notre Dame Football working hard to get ready for this season

NOTRE DAME, Ind.-- The Irish are putting in work for the upcoming football season.

Wednesday was day five of spring practice.

One position The Irish are looking to fill some young blood is the cornerback spot.

Over the weekend, Coach Kelly said that one of the things that he has been most impressed with so far this spring, is how the corners are playing. The players themselves said that they are giving it their all.

Bennet Jackson said, "You're always doubted you always have people saying this and that about you so you always want to prove everybody wrong so defiantly I have more of drive."

Josh Atkinson said, "This is a good opportunity for myself and all other corners to get on the field and make plays. And be better each and every day."

Coincidentally both athletes also helped The Notre Dame Men's Indoor Track Team place at this year's Big East Championship.

The Irish have big voids to fill with replacing last year's starters Robert Blanton and Gary Gray.

You can catch the Irish in action on April 21, at the Annual Blue-Gold Game.
