SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Michigan native and Notre Dame Guard Rocco Spindler grew up loving the outdoors and spending time with family, including his father, former NFL player Marc Spindler, and his grandfather, a die-hard Notre Dame fan.

Spindler said the last time he spoke with his grandpa, he fulfilled his dying wish.
