Notre Dame preps for Shamrock Series

Notre Dame's road to a college football playoff spot is nearing its last leg. This week's roadblock is Boston College in Fenway Park for the Shamrock series.

The Irish have won the last 4 meetings against the Eagles. They are 6-0 in the Shamrock series.

The Eagles are a losing team this year, but it's not because of a lack of defense. The 3-7 team has the number one defense in the country.

"They are tough to run the football on," said Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly. "Very aggressive defense."

That means the Irish will need a big game from running back CJ Prosise. He missed last week's game recovering from injury.

"You know we have got to try and find explosive plays," said Kelly. "That's why CJ Prosise needs to be in this game. Getting him back this week will be beneficial to our football team."

The game will be played at Fenway park in Boston. Kickoff is Saturday at 7:42 p.m.
