ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame rowing team is honoring the Notre Dame Athletics Department with the design of their new racing shell.

The 2020 Hudson USP, named “2020 Vision” by the 2021 senior rowing class, has the name of every Notre Dame Athletics Department employee, as of January 2021, printed on its exterior.

“We wanted to honor the hard work, determination and support we have received from the entire athletic department throughout the challenge of the past year,” head rowing coach Martin Stone said. “No one on our team is any more important than one of the names on the side of the boat. They have all played a role in our ability to return to competition and they will race with us the rest of the season.”

The boat will be used by the First Varsity Eight the rest of the season as the team prepares for the ACC Championships and hopes to earn a spot in the NCAA Championship.

“2020 Vision” will be put into action at the Big Ten Invitational on April 17 and 18 on Harsha Lake in Ohio.
