Notre Dame vs South Florida: September 19, 2020

NOTRE DAME – The second game of Notre Dame’s 2020 football season will be against the University of South Florida.

Scoring Updates:

Notre Dame Quarterback Ian Book opens up the scoring with a rush touchdown, giving the Irish an early lead 7-0.

Chris Tyree makes a dash for the end zone with a one yard score for Notre Dame. They now lead 12-0 over South Florida.

As the second quarter begins, Ian Book again rushes it home with his second touchdown of the day, Irish now 21-0.

Notre Dame’s C’Bo Flemister runs it hard, going 26 yards to the house. ND leads over USF 28-0.

Ian Book isn’t finished as the game comes in towards the half, pushing in for his third touchdown of the day. The Irish with a strong lead of 35-0.

This is the very first Notre Dame quarterback to rush for three touchdowns in a half.

Notre Dame scores a field goal, tightening their grip at 38-0.

LB Osita Ekwonu makes his first-career punt block on South Florida, with a follow up grab by DL Jordan Botelho marking his first-career score and recovery. The Irish secure the extra point on the kick, bringing the score to 45-0.

Notre Dame’s Jafar Armstrong goes for it with a five yard touchdown. The Irish dominate 52-0. This is the sixth rushing touchdown of the day.

Notre Dame secures the game against South Florida, 52-0. This brings the Irish to 2-0 undefeated. This is also their 20th consecutive home victory.
