Notre Dame vs USC: October 12, 2019

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame game against the USC Trojans has kicked off as the rivalry between the two teams continues on Saturday.

The Irish are 4-1 and are coming off of a strong win after they blanked Bowling Green last week, which is the first time they had a shut out game since 2014.

Notre Dame beat USC last season and has won the last three games played at Notre Dame Stadium against the Trojans, but the Irish will continue to put forth their best.

Scoring Updates/Final Score:

USC scores in the First Quarter with a 40-yard field goal from Chase McGrath. Trojans lead 0-3. 

Notre Dame comes back in the Second Quarter with a 10-yard pass from Ian Book to Cole Kmet. Irish are up 7-3. 

Notre Dame scores an incredible 51-yard run from Braden Lenzy. Irish still lead 14-3. 

Jonathon Doerer scores a 45-yard field goal for Notre Dame before the end of the first half. Irish are up 17-3. 

Notre Dame scores first in the Second Half with Doerer sending a 52-yard field goal. Irish still lead 20-3. 

USC follows with another 27-yard field goal from Chase McGrath. Irish still lead 20-6. 

USC scores with a 38-yard pass from Kedon Slovis to Amon-Ra St. Brown. Irish continue to lead 20-13.

Notre Dame's Jonathan Doerer kicks a field goal in the beginning of the Fourth Quarter. Irish are up 23-13.

Kedon Slovis passes 5-yards to Tyler Vaughns to score for USC. The Trojans catch up to the Irish 23-20. 

Ian Book runs 8 yards for the touchdown for Notre Dame. The Irish still lead 30-20. 

Markese Stepp runs 2-yards to score for the Trojans. Irish still lead 30-27. 

Notre Dame beats USC 30-27. The Irish are now 5-1.
