NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Notre Dame women's hoops is once again in a hot streak. Since falling in a top-10 matchup to Louisville, the Irish have now reeled off six consecutive wins, with the latest being Thursday's blowout win of North Carolina.
Notre Dame used a stifling defensive effort in the first half to break it open, and eventually won 94-62. The Irish, now 21-2 on the year, were led by Marina Mabrey's 25 points and Arike Ogunbowale's 24.
Thursday's victory was the 950th in program history. Notre Dame next travels to play No. 19 Duke on Sunday at 1 p.m.
