Notre Dame's men's basketball team arrives in New York

March Madness has started. The Notre Dame men's basketball arrived in New York Wednesday afternoon in preparation for the first round game Friday.

The team left South Bend around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday for their flight to New York.

They will play in the Barclays Center Friday night against either Michigan or Tulsa.

Senior Zach Auguste says the Irish are excited to get back on the court.

"It's been great. The energy has been high. Everybody's been great. We're confident, we're having fun out there - we're smiling. We're just excited to be playing basketball again," said Auguste.

The team held a closed practice, then will be headed to Times Square Wednesday night.
