NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Since starting ACC play at 3-0, it's been nothing but injuries and close, tough losses in the following four games.
The Irish hoped that would end on Saturday night against Virginia Tech. However, the Hokies beat Notre Dame on its own homecourt, 80-75, to give the Irish their fifth consecutive loss.
TJ Gibbs netted a career-high 27 points, but the Irish could not find the stops they needed in the final minutes to get over the hump.
