Notre Dame's trip to Virginia a homecoming for Prosise

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -

Saturday's game is the Notre Dame football team's first ever trip to the state of Virginia. It also means a homecoming from one Irish star.

Senior CJ Prosise will get his first career start in front of his family and friends.

"It's going to be real exciting for me. An amazing experience just that my family gets to see me play in real life instead of on TV," Prosise said.

Prosise grew up in Petersburg and attended Woodbury Forest High School, where he played both basketball and football.

"A lot of my friends from Woodbury go to UVA. They'll be in the student section rooting against me," said Prosise.

Even though he grew up cheering for Virginia teams, there is no question who he wants to win Saturday.

"I mean I'm a Notre Dame fan all the way now," Prosise said.

Prosise says he had to round up about 20 tickets for friends and family for the game so they can cheer for him.
