Notre Dames womens basketball team headed to Final Four
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame’s women’s basketball team is headed to the women’s NCAA Final Four in New Orleans.
Notre Dame stamped its ticket to New Orleans Tuesday night with an 87 to 76 win over Duke.
The Blue Devils had the upper hand in the first half, but Notre Dame came back to fight for the win.
The Irish are looking forward to their third straight trip to the Final Four.
"I want to win a championship for Coach McGraw - bad. When you've got a coach that trusts and believes in you so much, and likewise for me with her, I'd do anything for her,” said Skylar Diggins, Notre Dame Guard.
They have a big obstacle in front of them, another re-match with UCONN.
That's Sunday night at 8:30 on ESPN.
But ABC 57 will have more coverage for you from New Orleans. Jillian Mahen and Emily Pritchard will have live reports from the Final Four.
