SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- The South Bend Chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council is hosting its annual Stroll and Tailgate Saturday at Joe Hunt Plaza from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. This is the 17th year for the event.
The tailgate will bring together members from each of the "Divine Nine" historically black fraternities and sororities. Community members will be treated to strolling performances, food trucks, and games. There will also be school uniform drive for families in need.
Organizers are asking for people to donate children's winter clothing items for a giveaway to be held later in the year. This is the first year the tailgate is moving from the Century Center Island to Joe Hunt Plaza.
The event is free to the public.
