BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- On July 28, just before 11 p.m., Benton Township Police Department was dispatched to 105 South Fair Avenue for a report of shots being fired.

Upon arrival, officers found evidence of shots being fired, but no one was hit by the gun fire. Video surveillance helped detectives track the suspect to a nearby apartment.

The suspect was taken into custody around 12 p.m. on July 29 on numerous firearm charges. Suspect's name is being withheld pending arraignment, and he is currently being lodged at the Berrien County Jail.

 The investigation remains ongoing.
