SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Officers were honored today at the city’s Annual Awards Ceremony.
Officers work for the citizens of South Bend every minute of every day.
The award ceremony tonight was a way to show appreciation for each and every man and woman on the force.
South Bend Police Chief Scott Ruszkowski says “In the Police Department, we do thousands among thousands of things right every day, at least every year at minimum. We do one thing wrong and that’s what everyone tends to focus on. We’re recognizing officers for the outstanding work they perform on a daily basis 24/7, 365.”
Some of the awards included: The Life Saving Award, Investigator of the Year and Civilian Employee of the Year Award.
