Officers searching for missing boater on Lake Michigan

GARY, Ind.—Conservation Officers on Monday are conducting a sonar search near Marquette Park Beach in Gary in their efforts to locate a boater who went missing on Sunday.
According to the DNR, a 911 call on Sunday around 5:30 p.m. alerted officers of an unmanned boat circling in Lake Michigan near the Marquette Park Beach.
Crews on scene retrieved the boat and began to search for the operator, which continued Monday.
The incident remains under investigation.
