Ohio drinking water tainted by toxins

TOLEDO, Ohio --- As many as 400,000 people in Toledo have been told not to drink or cook with any tap water.

A toxin caused by algae was discovered in the city's water supply.

The mayor of Toledo, D. Michael Collins, says the city is rushing to fix the problem.

"All of the results, as a result of the test, continue to improve, which gives us more hope that we're going to be able to move forward and just a little quicker in terms of finalizing when the water will be able to be returned to its normal use," said Mayor Collins.

In response to the crisis, the Ohio National Guard and first responders are giving out safe drinking water to residents.
