South Bend native competes for National Jr. Ranger
CLEVELAND – David James, an Ohio US Air Force Veteran, is celebrating after recovering from the coronavirus. He is the first patient in Cleveland put on a ventilator that later recovered from COVID-19.
James was taken to the hospital on March 23rd after testing positive for the coronavirus.
The Veteran spent a whole month in the hospital with most of the time in the intensive care unit.
James’ doctors and nurses told him that he was their “miracle patient.”
“I wouldn't want anybody to have to go through something like that. I mean it was the worst possible thing. I didn’t know if he was going to live. I didn’t know if he was gonna die,” said Patty James, David’s wife.
James’ family says that they are happy they are back together and ready to take on whatever else life has in store.
