Oil leak in Gary could affect Lake Michigan

GARY, Ind. — Authorities in Gary are investigating an oil leak that left petroleum sheen on a major drainage ditch.
According to the Associated Press, Lake County officials said it doesn't appear to be a major spill from the area's pipelines.
The situation could become more serious because the waterway that flows through the area is an important drainage ditch that could affect Lake Michigan.
