SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Councilman Oliver Davis filed the paperwork on Friday to run for South Bend Mayor.
Davis says his priorities include communication, business needs for the entire city and transportation adjustments.
"We've are 12 years here that we've been tested in leadership. We didn't just jump in the race and say, 'Oh we're going to run.' No we have been working with the people of South Bend. We have experience. We have political experience, we have public experience, and I think that's the key. And that's the difference with me and all of the other people who have been out here," said Davis.
Candidates have until February 8th to file.
