One arrested on federal drug dealing charges

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – One person was arrested on federal drug dealing charges following an investigation by the South Bend Police Department and other agencies, the Police Department reported.
On Thursday, the SBPD Strategic Focus Unit, DEA, Indiana State Police, St. Joseph County Police Department, Mishawaka Police Department, and Marshall County Sheriff’s Office worked together to arrest Cedric Washington Sr., police said.
The investigation also led to investigators recovering seven firearms, a large amount of drugs, drug packaging materials, and a large amount of U.S. currency, reports said.
