One dead in car accident in Cass County

Cass County Sheriff's Office says one person has died in an accident that happened around 3 a.m. on Lakeview Drive in Wayne Township, near Dowagiac.
One vehicle was involved in the accident.
A witness contacted the Cass County dispatch because he came upon a vehicle that had driven off the road.
The driver, 74-year-old John Shilney of Dowagiac, was unresponsive.
Shilney was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies believe he died from a medical issue and not as a result of the accident.
Shilney was wearing his seat belt.
