One dead in Cass County fire

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Cass County Dispatch confirmed Thursday morning one person was found dead in a fire.
The flames broke out around 4:00 a.m. at home on the 17000 block of Chain Lake Street.
The mobile home was destroyed.
Crews said they had a tough time putting out the flames because the home was located in a hard to reach, wooded area.
Firefighters had to stretch hoses at least 500 feet through wet grass to reach the site.
It took them two hours to put the fire out.
The Michigan State Fire Marshall will determine the cause of the fire.
An autopsy will be performed in Grand Rapids on the victim.
