'One dime at a time!' Students raise awareness about food insecurity

One dime at a time!

Monday, schools across Elkhart County made it their mission to raise awareness about food insecurity.

Schools were asked to collect one dime from each student.

While the amount seems small, students say a lot can be raised this way.

"The hope is that everyone can give at least a dime and the power of doing it all at the same time really shows unity in the community and just trying to bring it together and show what everyone can do at one minute, at one time, giving one dime," said Will Boyer, junior at Concord High School.

All of the money will benefit Church Community Services to make sure people don't go hungry in Michiana!
