One injured in crash on May Street in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – One person was injured in a crash along May Street in Cass County Saturday night, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported.

At 8 p.m., deputies were called to a one-vehicle personal injury crash east of Brush Road in Milton Township.

An investigation showed that a South Bend resident was driving west on Brush Road when she swerved to miss a deer and lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle left the road and hit a tree.

The driver was evaluated on scene and then transported for non-life-threatening injuries.

Seatbelts were worn and air bags were deployed.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
