ELKHART, Ind. --  Elkhart Police responded to a shooting in the 900 block of Portage Lane at approxtimately 11:40 p.m. When officers arrived on scene, they located a 17-year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medics tended to her on scene and transported her to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
