CASS COUNTY, Mich. - The Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle crash on Dutch Settlement Street near M-62 in Wayne Township late Thursday night.

The crash occurred Thursday, just after 11 p.m. when the driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old Buchanan, woman, was traveling west bound on Dutch Settlement Street when she drove over the curb, and went straight into a utility pole, causing the car to catch fire, according to police.

The driver wasn't in the vehicle when it caught on fire, and only suffered minor injuries.

A seatbelt was worn during this crash and drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in this crash.

Officials say this crash remains under investigation.
