Police: 2-year-old South Bend girl shot in foot

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend police say a 2-year-old girl was shot Monday night.

Police say two women flagged down an officer around 10:20 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Sample streets.

The officer saw that the 2-year-old had been shot in the foot.

Medics took the girl to the hospital.

According to investigators, officers learned the shooting took place at a home on South Chapin Street. Officers haven't found exactly where the shooting took place.
