OCT. 16, 2025, UPDATE: Court documents reveal Matthew Dandridge was charged with one count of Murder for the 2024 fatal shooting of 50-year-old David Strowder Sr.
Dandridge entered a guilty plea agreement and was sentenced on Oct. 9 to 50 years in prison with a $10,000 fine.
UPDATE: Authorities identified the shooting victim as 50-year-old David Strowder Sr.
ORIGINAL STORY: ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police Officers responded to a reported shooting with injuries in the 2400 block of Morton Avenue.
The 911 call came in around 7:25 p.m. Thursday.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating.
No arrests have been made at this time and the initial investigation indicates the shooting was an isolated incident.
Officials say there's no immediate danger to the public.
