WARSAW, Ind. -- One man was killed in a shooting that happened during a break-in on Tuesday, according to the Warsaw Police Department.
Police responded to a report of an alleged breaking and entering call around 9:40 p.m. on Old Colony Road at Forest Park mobile homes.
Responding officers arrived on the scene to find one adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene after life-saving efforts were made by officers and medics.
Residents of the home include three adults and one child, who were taken to the Warsaw Police Department and the Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center for interviews, according to the police.
This is an active investigation, and the identity of the man who died will be released once his family has been notified.
