Winter Storm on its way
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - 38-year-old Anthony Dwight Long was shot and killed around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to South Bend Police.
Officers were originally called to the area of South Lafayette and West Monroe Street.
When they arrived, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's name and identity have not been revealed.
Officers believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public.
The South Bend Police Department's Violent Crime Unit is handling the case.
