One motorcyclist loses control and collides with another bike

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash between two Harley Davidson motorcycles Monday afternoon in the 60000 block of S.R. 15.

Authorities say around 2:44 p.m., 19-year-old Iolana Reedy of Cromwell was driving her 2012 Switchback northeast on S.R. 15 when she was approaching the parking lot near the crash site.

"[Reedy] turned northwest into the parking lot ... and understeered. [Reedy] went into a grass portion of the parking lot. [Reedy] struck a brick which bent the rim of [her bike]," the ECSO said. "[Reedy] lost control of [her bike] and ended up laying it down on its left side."

Her bike ran into and knocked over a 2014 Electra Glide Ultra in the parking lot that was unoccupied.

Reedy told authorities she believed she hit something when she went off road but could not remember the details of the crash because of how quickly it happened.

Reedy took herself to Goshen Hospital for a cut on her right cheek from her sunglasses. No citations were issued.
