Driver airlifted to hospital following crash on M-66

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich.—One person was airlifted to the hospital following a crash on M-66 on Friday morning, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday around 6:49 a.m., deputies responded to a crash involving a tractor trailer and a passenger car near M-66 and Findley Road in Colon Township.

During their investigation, deputies found that the 19-year-old female driver of the passenger car did not stop at a stop sign on Findley Road at M-66 eastbound.

The passenger car then drove underneath the trailer of the semi-truck, driven by a male from Mississippi, police said.

The driver and passenger of the semi-truck were both uninjured.

The driver of the passenger car was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
