One person arrested after car found submerged in lake

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – One person was arrested Saturday after a car was found submerged in a lake, the Marshall County Sheriff's Department reported.

At approximately 5 a.m. Saturday morning, deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident in the area of East Shore Drive and 18B Road in Culver.

While there, deputies found the vehicle submerged in Lake Maxinkuckee.

The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Lyndsey Price of Plymouth, was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, deputies said.

Price was taken to a local hospital for a certified chemical test and was allegedly shown to be almost three times over the legal limit, reports said.

Price was taken to the Marshall County Jail and faces the following charges, deputies said:

  • Operating a vehicle while intoxicated – endangering a person
  • Operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more
  • Illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor
