CASS COUNTY, Mich. – One man was injured in a one-vehicle crash along Peavine Street in Pokagon Township on Tuesday, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The crash happened just east of Sink Road at 12:44 p.m.

According to the investigation, a 33-year-old Dowagiac man was driving on Peavine Street when he lost control of the vehicle, left the road, and struck a tree.

The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time and his airbag deployed.

Alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the crash.

This incident is still under investigation.
