NOW: One person dead following report of shooting in South Bend Friday afternoon

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A female has died following reports of a shooting in the 800 block of Lake Street in South Bend, the South Bend Police Department reported.

A call came in at 2:29 p.m. reporting the incident.

Police said a distress call came in from a resident in the house.

Officers discovered a body when they entered the home.

Police are still on scene.
