SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A woman was injured in a shooting that happened Friday afternoon around 4 p.m., according to South Bend Police.
The shooting happened in the 1600 block of Illinois Street, according to police.
Investigators say the victim was shot at while sitting in her car on Illinois Street.
The victim then drove to the 3000 block of Greene Street, police said.
When police arrived, they found the victim sitting on the steps at a house with a head injury. They did not reveal the extent but believe she may have been injured by flying glass rather than a bullet.
Officials have determined the shooter was a woman.
The suspect is being questioned by police.
