One person shot multiple times in South Bend

South Bend Police are investigating a shooting after finding a man with gunshot wounds lying on the sidewalk.
The man was found in the 800 block of Wellington and Sample streets around 5:30 Friday morning.
Police say he was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
The victim has been identified as Matthew Chambers.
Several witnesses were interviewed at the South Bend Police Department but police say they don't have a suspect at this time.
