One woman dead after shooting in Benton Township

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Benton Township police say one woman is dead after a shooting Saturday night. 

Police say it happened at 6:09 p.m. at Blossom Acre Housing. 

When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old woman lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the left side of her chest. 

First responders admitted life saving measures, but the victim was pronunced dead at Lakeland Hospital. 

Police say her boyfriend, 22-year-old Marion Perry of Benton Harbor, is believed to be the last person to see the victim alive and want to talk to him about this incident.
