One woman injured in late-night South Bend shooting

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night, according to the South Bend Police Department. 

Officials say that one woman was injured during the shooting and was taken to a local hospital. The extent of her injuries is unknown, although she was described as being in stable condition. 

The shooting took place in the 1900 block of East Ewing Street, and South Bend's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
