Only on ABC 57: Regis Philbin on his return to Notre Dame campus and Irish football

TV Icon and 1953 Notre Dame graduate Regis Philbin sat down with ABC 57 news in the theater named in his honor, just minutes after speaking to select film, theater and television students at Notre Dame. 

"I told them my story and how long it took me to get going in the business and I had no idea I was even going to be in the business," said Regis Philbin. 

The icon spoke for over an hour with students, telling stories of his journey from the Notre dame classroom through the navy, TV news, daytime talk shows. He even shared advice for students wanting to accomplish their goals.

"If you want something go for it," he said. "Don't be afraid."
