GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Elkhart County 4-H Fair is in it's seventh day, and attendance numbers have been released. As of Thursday night, 212,000 people had attended the fair.
But that number is 10,000 less than this time last year.
Organziers say the heat may have kept some people away.
As temperatures cooled off later in the week, it was more comfortable for both visitors and animals.
"The stock performs better when it's cool. They're just like us, when it's hot they can get sluggish and I think the cool weather has really helped," says Aaron Platt, the rodeo announcer.
With better weather for the rest of the fair, organizers expect to see attendance numbers grow.
