Osceola hit hard by storms

OSCEOLA, Ind. -- Neighbors will spend Thursday cleaning up their yards, after storms passed through Wednesday. But no trees or branches have fallen through any homes, though there have been a few close calls.

Driving down Apple Road in Osceola you can see trees split completely in half and branches piled high.

At Harrison and Apple, there is a tree completely uprooted, and blocks a driveway.

Malik Smith said he and his family are lucky that no one was hurt when tall branches fell right outside their home.

“We were watching TV and everything, and we just heard a cracking sound and then like trees fell. Very thankful it didn’t fall on my house on injure anybody in the house,” he said.
