An Osceola man was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to incest.
According to court documents, 38-year-old Phillip Murphy admitted to detectives with the St. Joseph County Special Victims Unit that he knowingly engaged in sexual intercourse with a blood relative.
Police say Murphy engaged in sexual intercourse with a relative in 2013 after receiving DNA proof showing they were related.
Murphy was sentenced to 90 days in the St. Joseph County Jail and $250 in sexual assault fees and court costs.
