Indiana Michigan Power provides update to power restoration

Indiana Michigan Power says there are currently 3,900 customers without power due to the storms Wednesday evening.

According to NIPSCO and I&M, electricity has come back on for approximately 300 customers. There are still large clusters of outages in LaPorte, Elkhart, South Bend, Shipshewana, Goshen, Middlebury, St. Joseph and Berrien Center.
NIPSCO customers can expect to have power restored between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Those who use I&M may have power again by 10 a.m.

More than 7,000 NIPSCO and Indiana Michigan Power customers are without electricity early Thursday morning following rounds of thunderstorms Wednesday night.
At 2:40 a.m., I&M reported 5,114 customers were affected mostly in areas southeast of Elkhart near U.S. 20 and in South Bend near Corby Boulevard and Edison Park neighborhoods. Click here to view the outage map.
