Overnight: Robbery and business break-in

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It was a busy night for both St. Joseph County and South Bend Police. Just before midnight the 7-Eleven gas station on Mishawaka Avenue in South Bend was robbed.

Police say a man walked into the store and told the clerk that he had a gun. The suspect never showed the gun but threatened the clerk.

The clerk was not injured, but the suspect did get away. Police looked around the area but could not find the suspect.

St. Joseph County Police investigated a business break-in during the overnight hours.

Police say someone smashed out a window at the Hearth and Home Design Center on Indiana 933.
